The Leaf

Unattached, floating, withering away

Remembering his roots and the company on his birth limbs

Bending and vibrating in the wind

One little miniscule of shade

Maturity changes his color, his strength, and his purpose

He lets go and heads into the atmosphere

Bravely, all alone

But not really

He circles and swirls with others who are from the same crop

He rests for a while

As his mission was daunting

He heads on and completes the circle of life

Returning again

But with the same plan

To provide shade

And to be a miniscule but important element of change
