Box of Treasures

Our Denison Farm CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program started again today. We’ve been patiently waiting for the Farmer and the fields to work their magic.

This is our second year as members, and for Mom and me as site hosts at a local church. Our excitement for the new season beginning was matched by every single person who came in to pick up their fresh garden produce this evening.  Some were veteran CSA’ers and some were new.   I couldn’t help but think that the new members were going to be in for nice surprises each week, both in what they receive and how creative they will become with cooking the variety of the things in their share.

Tomorrow night’s dinner will be special. We’ll celebrate the reinstatement of this summer goodness by having an assortment of side dishes from our share.

We may just have to have our meatless Monday on Thursday this week.
