Thankfulness Challenge: November 25, 2013

I’m thankful for…

…my swing chair.

016

I bought this chair at a colorful party-looking store on Key Largo many years ago.  I hung it on my front patio at our old house every Spring, and reluctantly took it down in late Fall.  It has a new home now hanging from the steel beams in the basement which was also our family/play room when I was a kid. The setting is not as nice as my old patio, but the chair has not lost its comfort, and I can use it all winter.  There’s even a little Ben Franklin stove in the room where it’s hanging.  I have a stack of books, a ream of magazines, and a pile of crossword puzzles.  A good snow storm and a little fire in the Ben Franklin will be the setting for catching up on some reading and crosswords.
