Little Miss Averill

Our 3 month anniversary is coming up with this little Package of Pure Puppy Pleasure.  Well, she’s not a puppy, but she sure acts like one.  The only thing we know about her is that she was a stray in Georgia.  Huge loss for Georgia!

We got her from Peppertree Rescue (http://www.peppertree.org/) where we got our Precious Merlin.  Merlin was more like the devils spawn when we got him 4 years ago.  A visit to “Doggie Boot Camp” (a very experienced handler), and an unwavering commitment on our part, has transformed this boy into a nice, well behaved, family dog.  Little Miss Averill came to us with only one problem:  She turns into Kujo when she sees other dogs.  We’re working on that.

She’s a 36 pound Whippet mix, who makes sounds like Snoopy and Little Cindy Lou Who.  We feel like we’re living with a cartoon.   If I could have put an order in for the perfect dog, I couldn’t have even known how to order such a cherub.

Congratulations! Looks like Little Miss Averill has landed in a very comfy place! What does Merlin think?

  2. I was convinced that Merlin liked her when I saw his tail wagging as she was approaching him last week. He was an only-dog for 3 years! So, I was a little skeptical at first.
